OBRA OBRA
Obra Obra is the construction of a construction. A photographic exercise that lasted as long as it took some workers to compose a concrete image.
For months, from the windows of my house, I observed the daily routines of the work of some construction workers transforming a limited space.
Interested in the plastic qualities of the forms that appeared, I began to document this active process from a precept that transcends the objective image. Transforming the landscape into a symbolic space.
As another construction worker, I developed a repetitive and mechanical work plan. Creating daily tasks of systematic capture, in an exploration on the idea of nothingness and infinity through the white.
Space and time. Time and space. A geometric game between two categories that serve to explain all reality, two coordinates that intersect at the limits of representation to build something previously undefined or nonexistent: the void.
